Check in time 9:30 AM tournament starts at 10:00 AM RULES AND FORMAT This tournament is certified by the USBC 04815 and shall be governed by its rules. It is open to any 2017/2018 USBC certified U12 youth bowler (birthdate of 8/1/05 or later) that has not yet qualified for the 2018 Jr. Gold Championships. Bowlers must be Jr. Gold members in order to qualify. Entry Information Entries received or postmarked by the deadline date Jauary 27th will be considered Early Registration and will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Entries will not be accepted if they cannot be read or submitted without payment. Walk-ins are welcomed (based on availability) with no additional fee. U12 $33.00 Early Registration fees are broken down based on $25.00 Jr. Gold qualifying and $8.00 Lineage. Check-in will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Walk-in entries will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Bowlers who wish to withdraw from a tournament before the start of the event must do so 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Refunds will be given if the Tournament Director determines a reasonable cause for withdrawal. Competition & Scoring Bowlers will bowl a four game block, bowling two games on their starting pair and moving one pair to the right for two games. The bowler with the highest four game pinfall will be declared the champion. In the event of a tie, there will be a one game roll off. Patterns will be from the Kegel Challenge series, and will be announced at least one week before event. Bowlers must register all balls used on score sheet (5 ball max). A bowler arriving late will receive a zero for each frame missed. Each bowler is responsible for recording his/her own scores after each game on the recap sheet. Bowlers are then responsible for obtaining the initials of their opponents’ on their pair of lanes to verify their score on the same recap sheet. Score sheets must be totaled and signed by the participant. All scoring corrections must be made by a tournament official. All disputes must be raised by the participants. Disputes from parents, coaches and guests will not be heard at any time. |
Awards
U12 Junior Gold Championships will be awarded on a 1:4 ratio. If the event has 5, 6 or 7 entrants, the 2nd place finisher will be given the opportunity to fund any remaining shortfall between the entry monies collected and the appropriate division entry fee and claim a spot in the Junior Gold Championships. This option is available only to the next player in line. If that player declines to exercise this option, it ceases at that point and the option is not available to other finishers down the line in the standings. Dress Code All bowlers must wear proper attire, a jersey with a collar or a sleeved collarless jersey. T-shirts and tank-tops are not permitted. Bottoms must be worn at waist level and not touch the floor. Jeans, cargo pants are not permitted. Girls are permitted to wear dress shorts, skorts, skirts or capri pants. Boys must wear full length dress pants. Conduct Absolutely no use of electronics during competition, this includes cell phones, IPods, and/or radios. Abuse of equipment, foul or disruptive language, and/or unprofessional behavior by bowlers or spectators are cause for dismissal from this event. Entry fees for a bowler removed from this event for disciplinary reasons WILL NOT be refunded. All bowing equipment must meet USBC specification. Altering the surface of a bowling ball by the use of abrasives while bowling in competition is prohibited. The use of powder or any foreign substance on: shoes, the approach, the facility floor, or carpet is not permitted.
